Astrophysics
There are so many unsolved mysteries spreading out there in our universe. To solve out these mysteries we have to take support of very important branch of Physics, Astrophysics. Astrophysics is that part of astronomy that deals with the physics of universe, including the physical properties of celestial objects, as well as their interactions and behaviour. It applies the laws of physics to astronomical bodies in order to help us understand how these bodies formed, how they interact with other bodies, and how they cease to be. It can be said that the field of astrophysics is very similar to the fields of astronomy and cosmology. Although, astrophysics is a very broad subject, it typically applies many disciplines of physics, including mechanics, electromagnetism, statistical mechanics, thermodynamics, quantum mechanics, relativity, nuclear and particle physics and atomic and molecular physics.
The main objects including under its studies are galaxies, stars, planets, exoplanets, the interstellar medium and the cosmic microwave background. Their emissions are examined across all parts of the electromagnetic spectrum, and the properties examined include luminosity, density, temperature and chemical composition.
The term is slightly misleading, as anyone who goes into astronomy nowadays must be proficient in physics. Because astrophysics sometimes deals with theories of the early, compact universe, it can be overlap strongly with particle physics which provides predictions of how matter would behave in the ancient universe. Although astronomy is as ancient as recorded history itself, it was long separated from the study of physics. In the Aristotelian worldview, the celestial world tended towards perfection, bodies in the sky seemed to be perfect spheres moving in perfectly circular orbits, while the earthy world seemed destined to imperfection; these two realms were not seen as related.
Some of its main topics are:
1. Birth and death of a star
2. The universe and the solar system
3. Magnitude of a heavenly body
4. Nuclear fission and nuclear fussion
